The effects of visitors on the social behaviours and activity budget of social canines: wolves and dholes
The first objective of this study is to define the social structures of the observed packs. Next, we aim to determine how the number of visitors influences the activity budget of social canids. Finally, we seek to understand how the number of visitors influences the ratio between affiliative and agonistic interactions in wolves and dholes. Data collection will take place at the Granby Zoo for dholes and at Parc Omega for wolves. The majority of data will be collected during the summer of 2026.
