The Forest Elephant (Loxodonta cyclotis): Does Poaching Influence Tusk Loss?The aim of this study is to determine whether there is an increase in elephants born without tusks and, if so, to assess whether poaching is the underlying cause. To investigate this phenomenon, camera trap images will be used to identify and count the number of tuskless elephants. The study site is Campo Ma’an National Park, in Cameroon.
