Provancher's Fleabane taxonomy and conservation
This research project has the objective to resolve all taxonomic ambiguities related to the Philadelphia Fleabane specie (Erigeron philadelphicus) and its varieties. The Provancher's Fleabane, one of the varieties, is endemic to the Saint-Lawrence estuary and has a conservation status at the moment. We want to know if this variety is that genetically different compared to other populations of the eastern part of North America that it needs a conservation status.
