Project

Caracterisation of the Mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis (MAP) bacterial infection to a sympatric populations of guanacos (Lama guanicoe) and sheep in the Magallanes region, Chili.
In order to help determine if MAP poses a real risk for guanaco conservation in the Magallanes region of Chile, this project will attempt to characterize the extent of infection in a guanaco population and link it to the presence of sympatric sheep and environmental variables.
