Drivers of Predatory Soil Mite Biodiversity in Urban Greenspaces
Mites exist in almost every ecosystem on earth, but little is know about what influences their biodiversity and community composition. The biodiversity of mites in urban ecosystems is particularly overlooked. My research looks to address this knowledge gap by studying the drivers of mite biodiversity in urban greenspaces, with an emphasis on predatory mites. The goal of my research is to identify greenspace development and management strategies that will enhance biodiversity in our cities to create a more resilient future.
