Project

The prevalence of complexity in soil ecosystems and the application of complex systems theory to the simulation of fertility in the face of external forcing phenomena
The project aims to develop an explicit model of soil microbial communities and their interactions with soil and plants in an attempt to link external stimuli, such as climate change or agricultural practices, with effects on fertility, seen as an emergent property of the structuring of soil biotic communities.
