Influence of Population Growth and Life Stages on Foraging Behaviour of Canadian Grey Seals (Halichoerus grypus)Grey seal population of Canada grew exponentially since 1960. I am interested in the effects of this growth on the foraging behaviour of individuals. The aim of my project is to determine how the increase in the number of individuals influences the foraging effort of gray seals at different life stages. To characterise foraging behaviours, I will use data from 67 time-depth recorders attached on grey seals from the Gulf of St-Lawrence by Fisheries and Oceans Canada between 1993 and 2019. My project will further our fundamental knowledge on grey seals, ultimately allowing for a better management of the population.
