Research

My research is focused on the comprehension of environmental and ecological factors that determine the spatial patterns of the abundance of animal populations and the joining of species in disturbed landscapes. The main themes of my research are habitat selection, trophic interactions, intra/interspecific competition and wildlife responses to natural and anthropic disturbances in landscapes. To carry out my projects I use an approach that combines theoretical and experimental studies in laboratory and in natural environments. The ultimate goal of my work is to help population conservation and animal diversity via the comprehension of processes that determine their spatial and temporal dynamics.
