Waterway RechercheMa recherche porte sur l’écologie et l’évolution des associations hôtes-symbiontes. Je m’intéresse particulièrement aux processus qui déterminent la spécificité du microbiote végétal sur leurs hôtes en fonction de différents gradients environnementaux. J’utilise du séquençage de nouvelle génération, ainsi que des approches relevant de la bioinformatique et de l’écologie fonctionnelle pour aborder ce type de questions. Cette recherche contribue d’abord à mieux documenter la biodiversité microbienne foliaire reliée aux espèces végétales sur le territoire du Québec. Elle contribue ensuite à identifier et mieux prédire quels membres du microbiote végétal pourraient être le plus affectés par des changements environnementaux et des changements dans la distribution de leurs hôtes.Prix et honneurs
