The Quebec Biodiversity and Business Assessment Project (QBBAP)
In Quebec, there is a growing recognition of a need for dialogue between stakeholders to enable private sector engagement and the mainstreaming of biodiversity issues into corporate strategies and practices. To address this issue the Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Science (QCBS) and its partners have launched a joint initiative: The Quebec Biodiversity and Business Assessment Project (QBBAP).
This initiative aims to create the right conditions for indentifying, testing, adapting and disseminating a range of tools that foster the integration of biodiversity concerns into daily business operations. It is hoped that this project will allow Quebec businesses to become a major part of the solution towards reducing the rate and extent of biodiversity loss in Quebec and Canada.
