Research

3 major projects:
1)research into forest conservation, alternative livelihoods to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD+), reforestation, the link between livelihoods and land cover/land use change in the context of social-ecological landscapes, and multicultural land-use planning.
2) Understanding forest carbon stocks - different aspects of carbon and co-benefits monitoring and interested in an ample variety of techniques to do so, from ground truthing to remote sensing.
3) Understanding biodiversity and ecosystem functioning using the planted forest of Sardinilla
