Who is a student member of the QCBS?
You are a student member if you are currently a graduate student or postdoc and your supervisor or co-supervisor is a member of the QCBS. (Link to the list of members)
As a student member of QCBS, what resources can I access?
- Funding (Excellence awards and FRQNT international internship awards)
- Participation in seed grants and working groups
- Participation in the QCBS annual symposium
- Participation in training workshops
- Access to the biodiversity courses database

How can I be added to my professor’s profile page and receive QCBS information?
To be added to your supervisor’s profile, send the following information to Guillaume Larocque:
- Your full name
- Your project title
- Program (MSc., PhD)
- Department
- University
- Supervisor and/or co-supervisors
- Start year
- Photo (optional)
To receive QCBS news, please make sure that you are registered for the QCBS newsletter.
How can I contribute to activities of the QCBS?
- Contribute to the QCBS blog.
- Send announcements for the newsletter to Guillaume Larocque.
- Present your research at the QCBS annual symposium.
- Join the QCBS Facebook group.
- Send interesting papers to Guillaume Larocque, to be displayed in the Biodiversity publications page.
FAQ for researchers
How do I become a member of the QCBS?
Send the following information to Philippe Auzel:
- A request letter, to include a description of your research and how it relates to one or more of the QCBS’s three biodiversity science research axes
- A current CV
- A letter of support from a member of the QCBS
Your application will be evaluated by the QCBS directors committee.
Note: To become a QCBS member, you must have the status of researcher (PhD and CHU, CHA or CHG status).

- Assistance from QCBS Research Professionals to develop collaborative biodiversity science research
