My studies concern the description, mechanistic comprehension and the prediction of the way humans change their natural or semi-natural ecosystems in a direct way (land-use change) or indirect way (climate change). The main subject of my present studies is the impact of climate change on the biogeochemistry of bogs, with emphasis on the role of these ecosystems in the global budget of atmospheric carbon in the past, present and future.
